TO THE POINT 19.09.07

the new album’s ready at last and scheduled for release on 19.09.07... it features 11 uncompromising slabs of punk rock fury addressing the regular headcount topics of religion, politics and social commentary... headcount are never shy of covering controversial subjects, but there are one or two surprises here too, as the songs reflect the development in the band’s maturity [you havin’ a laugh? -ed]...
but seriously though - this is an absolute, ball-breaking, head smashing cracker of an album...

tracklisting: enough is enough, control, bleed, gravy train, daddy, mother earth, misery,
it’s a business doing pleasure with you, they only let you have it if they know you’ll bring it back (aka davinci ode), why me?, red mist...

they’re gigging regularly so keep an eye on their myspace for a list of current shows

meanwhile, here's a special treat - the amazing
1000 miles nocturnal sunshine mix

================================

eighteen feet tall and over fifty stone of loud guitars, growling bass and thunderous drums
that's headcount
punky metal with an emphasis on melody headcount have never relied on what is hip
and fashionable, preferring to follow their
own path through the murky waters polluted
by emo and nu-metal - that's why they stand
out from the crowd

quickly established for their uncompromising attitude, they've gained a reputation for being,
in the words of many a soundman, "the loudest fuckin' band I've ever heard"

musically compared to therapy, motorhead
and killing joke, 2004 saw headcount team up
with malicious damage to release their second
album die monkey die, produced by paul
raven of killing joke and martin ratcliffe of the
legendary neon hearts

this is what the press had to say
rock sound: headcount rock like a bastard...
from the system of a down on acid 1000 miles to the punk two-step of korea woman this trio are headed for great things

nightshift: headcount use their punk rock weaponry to crack heads and break balls...
they rock like hellbound pig-fucking devil dogs

kerrang!: it's bands like headcount that make the often thankless task of wading through new 'talent' in search of a gem worthwhile

metalUK:this album ranges from the very good to the truly great, and should be placed upon your 'must buy' lists immediately Spraise the production talents of messrs raven and ratcliffe for this sounds absolutely huuuuuge bung on some headphones and it feels like the band are actually playing inside your head - frightening...
